The World Economic Forum (WEF) meets this week at Davos, a Swiss ski resort. The WEF is a non profit foundation which involves the bringing together of leaders in many fields including business, international political, journalist and academics. The meeting lasts for 5 days and their goal this year is to "Improve the State of the World: Rethink, Redesign, Rebuild".
Over the course of the week there will be more than 200 sessions to address pressing issues such as Haiti, the world economy and the environment.
With over 2500 influential leaders taking part, what sort of results can we expect? Just what difference will this make for so many people who are struggling in Haiti and elsewhere?
