Set Up An Auto Responder

Once you have prepared your free gift you will need to set up a system which will send it to your prospects. The most efficient way to do this is to use an auto responder.

What exactly is an auto responder?

An auto responder is a software programme which will send out your emails on a schedule which you have chosen in advance. You need to write an email to tell your subscribers where they can download the free gift they have signed up for and then you follow up with a series of emails, providing them with additional information and from time to time some more gifts. After the first few emails, you can start to include links to your sales page or your affiliate links to other people's products.

An auto responder also enables you to set up an opt-in form on your website, so that you can start building your list.

If you have been interested in internet marketing for any length of time, you will know that building a list of email contacts and developing a relationship with them is the one of the best way to make money online.

If you have seen sales pages in which the authors claim to have made thousands of dollars overnight and wondered if such a thing is even possible, never mind how on earth it can be done, the answer is simple: an automated email list. Of course, it takes time to build the list - that's the bit they don't usually tell you!

The idea is to build a large list of people who are interested in your niche and who are likely to want to buy the products you are promoting. An auto responder is the one thing you must invest in. When you start online, you can do so fairly quickly with minimum costs. You need a domain name and hosting package and the other essential investment is your auto responder. This will enable you to start building your list from day one.

Automating as much of your business as possible as soon as possible is a priority when setting up an internet business and getting an auto responder set up is the first step in that process.

As soon as someone fills in the opt-in form and hits submit, they will receive your first message, no matter where they are in the world or what time of day it is where you are.

And you control the rate at which your follow up information is sent out. You can add as many emails as you like, for example if you put in 52 and schedule them to go out at weekly intervals, you have a year's content. It does take a little time to set up initially, but once you've done it, you don't have to touch it again. One of the best is Aweber
