Now that you have your auto responder set up, you need to link it to your website and the best way to do this is to create a squeeze page for your opt -in form
What is a squeeze page?
A squeeze page is a simple web page which gives your readers only two options - they can sign up or leave your site. There are no links to other pages on your site or to an affiliate sales page or any other page on the internet. In fact, may people start out with a one page website which is just a basic squeeze page.
This is a very good way to start if you are promoting someone else's products, as you don't need a sales page and can do your marketing via email once visitors have signed up.
What does a squeeze page consist of?
A squeeze page is designed to get people to join your mailing list and so should have an enticing headline, promising them useful information which will help them to deal with whatever problem they are facing. This will be in the form of the free gift discussed in the earlier article in this series, that, information in the form of a pdf report or a video.
So if you are in the weight loss niche, you could be sending them valuable tips on a weekly basis, access to exercise videos or low fat recipes, depending on what type of product you are selling or promoting.
You will then have a subheading with a little more detail and below it an opt-in form, asking for the reader's name and email address; The opt-in form should be near the top of the page, so that visitors don't have to scroll down to find it.
You can also include a number of bullet points, which explain the benefits they will gain by reading your report, watching your video or listening to your interview.
You will find plenty of examples of squeeze pages on line. Take a look at some in your niche. You can do this by searching for an answer to the problem, for example how to play the guitar. "How to " searches will usually come up with some sales pages in the search engine results. Some marketers use video squeeze pages and other use questionnaires, but you can get good results with a very basic page.
